The Business Assets department is the company’s longest established department, having provided client services to Turnaround, Restructuring, Insolvency and Industry sectors for almost 30 years.

Instructions begin with appraisals and/or valuations in accordance with stipulations required by the UK’s National Association of Valuers & Auctioneers (NAVA). With our network of valuers covering the UK, we can support clients regardless of their location, having offices and support sites with our dedicated team. This UK wide coverage enables us to rapidly be on site and physically inspect assets quickly for their condition, grade, environment, and operational history to provide a reliable and accurate appraisal and valuation figures. This ability to move quickly with appraisals and valuations also applies to our speed to market with the sale and any logistics associated with an instruction, which in turn, leads to a faster completion and payment.

We can help with a single item or an entire business, as an ongoing concern or broken down into the segments of property, IP, stock and tangible assets.

With an extensive customer base consisting of our network of contacts within different industries, in addition to over 750,000 registered bidders we can target our marketing to a broad range of customers, with our customer base being an approximate split of 70% end users and 30% dealers. This reach leads to higher recoveries for clients.



With our distributed network of NAVA valuers we aim to offer a 48 hour service for the appraisal and/or valuation of your business, assets or property.

Capability – As the UK’s largest commercial auction house we have over 1,300,000 square feet of secure, indoor sales space across the UK alone, enabling us to accommodate high volumes of assets and catalogue all items at point of entry into our facilities.

We can assist with the removal of abnormal loads such as plant or machinery using specialist teams with low loaders and hi-abs. We also have extensive experience of high-volume clearances such as Made.com which required approximately 650 articulated lorry loads, working through the day and night. The relationships we have built up with transport providers over the years mean we can obtain preferential rates and enhanced levels of service.

All our auctions are held online; however we have the flexibility to hold the assets and have the viewings either at one of our salerooms or onsite at the business premises. We can also, where possible, show plant and machinery running to giving potential purchasers re-assurance and receive a higher rate of recovery.

For items of high value that will attract a lot of interest we can hold a standalone sale where the asset(s) are the sole focus of that auction, and we will implement a bespoke marketing plan to target the right audience.

We can upload stock lists and supporting material relevant to the assets on sale, such as user manuals, that are in a digital format to help give the end user as much information as possible.

If required, we can make premises secure and provide round the clock security.

We can provide services for data wiping assets, so they comply with the latest guidelines prior to sale. Also, secure shredding and destruction of physical assets such a paperwork, and storage mediums such as CD’s etc.

We have an in-house photographer and videographer to ensure your items are presented in the best possible way with multiple high-quality images for our online auctions and additional marketing.

We have an in-house marketing team who are on hand to support and create bespoke campaigns per asset type connecting assets with the correct buyer. With over 750,000 registered bidders, an engaged email database and a strong following through our social media channels. In addition to this, we will, when appropriate place adverts in trade magazines and attend trade shows relevant to the instructions we receive to further promote the sales to the most relevant audience.
