Steve started his career with John Pye & Sons as an auction porter in 2006 and quickly progressed up the ladder, working in the business assets department to then take on responsibility of the retail operations. He was appointed to the board in 2018 as Operations Director.

Steve has been instrumental in the development of the retail arm of the business and the facilities in which these run leading and identifying operational efficiencies. Steve led on the development of the Marchington auction hub, the first outside of the Nottingham Head Office. He is now responsible for the expansion of this best practice across the 6 strong retail network, guiding and supporting the site managers and oversees the Business Development department, to ensure continuous improvement and growth.
