233,000 square foot site established in Chesterfield
The newly established 233,000 sq. ft Chesterfield site, the second-largest in John Pye's portfolio, responds to heightened supplier demand in the region. The facility, opened in December, is anticipated to generate over 150 jobs in the coming years, affirming John Pye Auctions' commitment to regional growth.
Heading the team in Chesterfield is Lou Rodrigues, the site manager, who joined the company in 2012 and swiftly ascended the ranks due to exemplary contributions. Lou expressed enthusiasm about managing the company's second-largest site and invited the public to explore the salerooms and participate in the auctions.
Celebrating our 50th anniversary and a record-breaking 2018, we have experienced increased online bidding, showroom footfall, and stock volumes from high street retail clients. Acknowledged as the UK's asset valuer and auctioneer of the year for the past four years at the UK's Turnaround, Restructuring, and Insolvency (TRI) Awards, the company expands its presence internationally, with a recent online auction launch in the United Arab Emirates and the opening of a Birmingham office in 2019.
Adam Pye, Managing Director, highlighted the significant growth in supplier demand and underscored the strategic importance of the new Chesterfield site in better serving retail clients and facilitating a positive viewing experience. The move aligns with the company's ongoing expansion in 2019.
